Fintech software

Fintech products, built by people who have shipped one.

For founders who know a payments, lending or finance workflow from the inside and need it built properly. JAR Pay went from concept to a live UK fintech platform in six months, with compliance designed in from month one and independent security audits passed.

What we build

What we build for fintech

The parts a regulated finance product cannot do without, scoped to what your first release needs.

Payment and transaction workflows

Multi-currency flows, settlement and reconciliation, with every state change recorded.

Real-time transaction monitoring

Alerts and review queues for the transactions that need a person to look, as JAR Pay runs today.

Merchant and customer portals

Onboarding, statements, invoicing and support, with MFA and role-based access.

Public APIs and webhooks

So customers and partners can connect, with keys, rate limits and an audit trail.

Integrations with financial providers

Connections to the payment, banking and identity services your product depends on.

Back-office tools

The screens your operations and compliance staff use every day.

Decided up front

The rules that touch the money and the data

Decided at scoping and written into the architecture, so the product is ready for the questions a regulator, an auditor or a bank partner will ask.

FCA expectations

Your authorisation route and the systems and controls it implies, agreed with your compliance adviser at scoping.

PCI DSS

Card data kept out of your systems wherever possible, so the scope of an assessment stays small.

UK GDPR

Lawful basis, retention and subject access, with hosting in UK or EU accounts you control.

Security testing

Independent penetration testing before launch. JAR Pay passed its audits with zero critical vulnerabilities.

How it works

Five steps, on every track.

Each step ends with something you can hold: a decision, a document, or working software. The full build path.

  1. Call

Thirty minutes. An honest yes, no, or not yet, and which track fits.

  2. Scoping

Short paid discovery. Scope, architecture, cost range and timeline.

  3. Proof slice

A small fixed-fee slice that proves the hardest part works.

  4. Trial release

Your pilot customers use it. Feedback and first revenue.

  5. Commercial release

The product you can sell, with ownership or an exclusive licence.

Three ways to pay

Same build. Different ways to pay.

A first commercial release typically runs £40k to £100k (about $50k to $125k). Terms on the other two tracks are set per client after scoping; see a sample term sheet.

Track 1

Paid Build

You have the budget. Milestone fees to a written scope, typically £40k to £100k (about $50k to $125k) for a first commercial release. You own everything on payment.

Flagship Track 2

Founder's Path

Some cash and customers close to paying. A reduced, paced monthly fee credited to a fixed Build Value, then a capped revenue share until we recover it.

Track 3

Studio Bet

Signed pilot customers with deposits and no budget. No upfront fee; a technical-cofounder equity stake with vesting plus a revenue share. By selection.

Questions founders ask

Straight answers.

Can you get my product FCA authorised?

No, and nobody building the software can. Authorisation is your firm's application, usually with a compliance adviser. We build the systems and controls that application describes, and we work alongside your adviser from scoping.

How long does a fintech first release take?

Months, not years. JAR Pay went from concept to live in six months, including security audits. Your timeline is set in writing at scoping.

What does it cost?

A first commercial release on Paid Build typically runs £40k to £100k (about $50k to $125k); security testing and integrations put fintech products in the upper half. The Fundraising Tech Pack, from £2,500, scopes it in writing for your investors.

Do you hold card or customer data for us?

No. Hosting and every third-party service sit in accounts you control. We design so card data stays with your payment provider wherever possible.
